Warnick appointed to Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee
Rep. Judy Warnick,
R-Moses Lake, was appointed to the Agriculture and Natural Resources
Committee last week. Although she was not an official voting member,
Warnick has been attending committee meetings the last two weeks.
"Agriculture and related industries are such a vital part of my
district," Warnick said. "Being a voting member of this committee is
important to me and the people I serve."
Warnick began work on proposals before session started that will be
heard in the committee. She has prime-sponsored four bills dealing with
water and has joined with colleagues in the House to work on others.
House Bills
1266,
1267,
1268, and
1269 will be heard Thursday, Jan. 29, in the Agriculture and Natural
Resources Committee.
"Water is important not only for farmers, but for development and
families," Warnick said. "I am working hard to make sure we have common
sense policies that help agriculturalists, communities and businesses
use water efficiently and protect our resources for the future."
Hearings on bills are open for the public to attend and testify.
Thursday's meeting will be held in House Hearing Room B, located on
the first floor of the John L. O'Brien Building on the Capitol campus in
Olympia.
