Walsh sponsors teens for
page program
PHOTO PAGE RELEASE
Shane Roach and Tyler
Wahl, both sophomores at DeSales Catholic High School, recently served
as pages for the House of Representatives, sponsored by
Rep. Maureen Walsh,
R-College Place.
Paging presents students who are ages 14
through 16 with a unique educational opportunity to participate in the
legislative process. Both Roach and Wahl were responsible for duties such
as delivering documents to lawmakers in their offices and providing
messages to them in committee meetings and on the House floor.
"I was honored to have these fine young
gentlemen come to Olympia from Walla Walla,"
Walsh stated. "They seemed to have had a good time. This is a
great program that provides students with a wonderful opportunity to
experience the legislature, first hand. I am happy they were able
to take advantage of it."
Shane is the 15-year-old son of Dan and
Jacquie Roach and Tyler is the 16-year-old son of Pat and Lori Wahl, all
of Walla Walla. Both boys are active in their school.
