Roach speaks during Autism Awareness Day rally
Rep. Dan Roach,
R-Bonney Lake, was one of several speakers featured during an Autism
Awareness Day rally today in the rotunda of the Washington State
Capitol.
Roach is the father of a
six-year old boy with autism. He noted that growing media interest is
beginning to turn the spotlight on the increasing number of cases of autism throughout
the nation. Roach encouraged those attending the rally to use the new
focus to their advantage by contacting lawmakers and advocating for good
policies that support those afflicted with autism.
