“I am hopeful the
resignation of Governor Gregoire’s cabinet member, DOC Secretary Harold
Clarke, is a positive sign pointing to a new direction for the troubled
agency. It is my hope that her next appointee will inspire public
confidence in the department and rejuvenate the morale of employees. I
look forward to working with the new secretary to enhance public safety
and rebuild the trust of Washington citizens.”
