Vancouver teen helps Orcutt in House
Page photo release

Amanda Miller, a sophomore at Skyview High School, Vancouver, recently served as a page in the Washington House of Representatives. She was sponsored by Rep. Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama.

As a page, Amanda was responsible for delivering documents to lawmakers in their offices, committee meetings, and on the House floor. She also learned about the legislative process through the Legislature's page school.

To become a page, applicants must have a legislative sponsor and be between the ages of 14 and 16. Additionally, pages are required to hold a grade-point average of C+ or better, and obtain written permission from their parents and school.

Amanda is the 16-year-old daughter of Sandy and Mark Miller of Vancouver.
