Cornell serves
as legislative page for Orcutt

Caitlin Cornell, a
sophomore at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, recently served
as a legislative page in the Washington House of Representatives. She
was sponsored by
Rep. Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama.
As a page, Caitlin
observed the Legislature in action and was responsible for delivering
messages and documents to legislators in their offices, committee
meetings and the House chamber during floor sessions. She also continued
her studies for two hours during the day.
To become a page,
applicants must have a legislative sponsor and be between at least 14
years old
and have not reached their 17th birthday. Additionally, pages are required to obtain written permission
from their parents and school.
Caitlin is the 16-year-old
daughter of Lisa and Robert Cornell of Vancouver.
