Page photo release

Caitlin Cornell, a sophomore at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, recently served as a legislative page in the Washington House of Representatives. She was sponsored by Rep. Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama.

As a page, Caitlin observed the Legislature in action and was responsible for delivering messages and documents to legislators in their offices, committee meetings and the House chamber during floor sessions. She also continued her studies for two hours during the day.

To become a page, applicants must have a legislative sponsor and be between at least 14 years old and have not reached their 17th birthday. Additionally, pages are required to obtain written permission from their parents and school.

Caitlin is the 16-year-old daughter of Lisa and Robert Cornell of Vancouver.
