Biography
PERSONAL:
Jim was born in Seattle, WA. He currently lives in Graham with his
three
teenage sons.
EDUCATION:
Jim is a graduate of Highline High School in Burien and has
completed many hours of coursework in private law and American
history.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
A small business owner, Jim has been a provider of Copper River
Salmon products for over 36 years. He has been on the board of
Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corporation for 10 years.
GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE:
Washington State Representative, 1998, 2005, 2006, 2007
Served on Transportation, Criminal Justice and Corrections
committees
Joint Committee on Veterans' and Military Affairs.
LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES:
Working to build a stronger economy by reducing taxes and easing
onerous business regulations
Protecting the values that honor families
Providing a safe and flexible educational system that will allow
students and teachers to succeed
Making our states health care system accessible and affordable
for all
Working for more roads to ease traffic problems within the 2nd
District and throughout the state
Increasing the penalties for manufacturing methamphetamine
Controlling government spending
