Monroe teen
expands vocabulary through paging
PHOTO RELEASE
With plenty of budget
discussions this year at the state Capitol, Anna Bean says she finally
learned the meaning of the word, "fiscal."
Anna, a freshman at Cedar
Park Christian School in Bothell, recently served as a page in the House
of Representatives. She was sponsored by
Rep. Dan
Kristiansen, R-Snohomish.
During her week as a page,
Anna spent a considerable amount of time helping on the House floor,
where she also listened to debates about the budget and other
legislative matters. One evening, while staying late, she had the
opportunity to meet Gov. Christine Gregoire.
Through her experience,
Anna says she learned how to better cooperate with people. She also
appreciated support from her page supervisors and from Rep. Kristiansen
who gave her a "morale boost."
The 16-year-old daughter
of Jeff and Lubov Bean, Anna enjoys gymnastics and cheerleading. She and
her parents reside in Monroe.
