Herrera and Zarelli to hold
tele-town hall meeting Tuesday, Feb. 19
18th District residents can participate from the
comfort of their own homes
State
Representative Jaime Herrera and
State Senator
Joseph Zarelli are inviting residents of the 18th District to
participate in their tele-town hall meeting Tuesday, Feb. 19,
at 7 p.m.
The event offers people an opportunity to call in and
participate in a community dialogue from their homes by dialing 1-866-447-5149
and entering PIN# 13470. The call begins just before 7 p.m.
and will last an
hour.
“Hearing from the people
of the 18th District is my highest priority. This is an easy way for
residents to share their thoughts from the comfort of their own homes,”
said Herrera, R-Ridgefield. “I encourage people to call in,
participate and ask questions if they’d like. I look forward to the
opportunity.”
“I hear from a lot of
constituents through e-mail, but there’s nothing like having a good
old-fashioned conversation,” said Zarelli, R-Ridgefield. “We’re
at a busy point in the legislative session, just past the halfway mark,
so there hasn’t been much time available during the day to talk on the
phone with people back home. This evening teleforum is just the ticket.”
The tele-town hall
format allows Herrera and Zarelli to listen to residents,
answer their questions and discuss various topics. Residents can listen
in, ask questions, take part in polls and participate as long as they
choose to stay connected.
Herrera can be
contacted at (360) 786-7850.
Zarelli can be
contacted at (360) 786-7634.
