Community leaders to discuss issues at 8th District town meetings
8th District legislators to mix discussion of legislative issues with local issues

Citizens are invited to join in discussions about local and legislative issues during town hall meetings Saturday, March 17, in Prosser, West Richland and Kennewick. The meetings are sponsored by Sen. Jerome Delvin, Rep. Shirley Hankins, and Rep. Larry Haler, all R-Richland.

"We're going to focus on some issues very important to the 8th Legislative District, including education, transportation and economic development. Local officials will be making presentations on each of those issues," said Hankins.

"It's also an opportunity to provide an update on the issues under discussion in the Legislature and to hear citizens' comments," added Delvin.

"The discussions and votes that will truly define this legislative session are still ahead," noted Haler. "This is a great time to hear from our constituents, so we can make sure their voices are well represented."

The meetings will be held at the following times and locations:

  • PROSSER
    9 a.m. - 10 a.m.
    Princess Theater
    1226 Meade Ave.
