With the addition of Rep. Joe Schmick,
the 9th District team has a new look in 2008, but you may be assured
that there is no change whatever in your legislators’ long-standing
tradition of commitment, responsible leadership and accessibility to our
constituents. We deeply appreciate the honor and privilege of serving
you in Olympia.
My professional background is in ranching and farming, and strengthening
our state’s agriculture industry is among my top priorities. Bringing
new jobs to Eastern Washington, protecting access to health care,
providing top-caliber education opportunities for our children, and
crafting a responsible supplemental state budget also figure prominently
in the Legislature’s work during the scheduled 60-day session.
