42nd District state
legislators to host four town hall meetings in Whatcom County
Rep. Doug Ericksen,
R-Ferndale, and his fellow 42nd District state legislators will be
holding four town hall meetings in Whatcom County in mid-December. The
events will take place in Blaine, Point Roberts, Sumas and Deming.
“The 2006 legislative session begins in early January and we want to
hear from our constituents before heading to Olympia. Town hall meetings
are a great opportunity for people to directly express their thoughts
and explain to legislators how they can help,” said Ericksen. “While we
know people will be busy before the holidays, we encourage them to come
out for a few hours and share their ideas. We look forward to the
opportunity of hearing from everyone.”
State Sen. Dale Brandland,
R-Whatcom County, and State Rep. Kelli Linville, D-Bellingham, will also
participate in the town hall meetings.
“It’s important to me that we hear from the folks in our district before
we head into this next session,” said Brandland. “I look forward to
personally talking with our neighbors to hear what’s on their minds.”
