Olympia youth experiences Legislature through page program
PAGE RELEASE

Brigidanne Brennan, a student from St. Michael's School, served as a legislative page for the House of Representatives last week. She was sponsored by Rep. Richard DeBolt, R-Chehalis. Brennan, 14, is the daughter of Michael and Cecilia Brennan of Olympia.

It was a pleasure to have Brigidanne here as a legislative page," DeBolt said. "Pages are provided a chance to share fun and educational experiences with their peers while in Olympia. It gives them a great opportunity to view the Legislature in action."

As a page, Brigidanne was responsible for delivering messages and documents to legislators in their offices, committee meetings and the House chamber during legislative sessions.  In addition, students are also required to continue their studies for two hours during the day.

To become a page, applicants must have a legislative sponsor and be between the ages of 14 and 16. Additionally, pages are required to obtain written permission from their parents and school.
