Whidbey Island group performs to delight of
lawmakers
The famed Whidbey Island
Shifty Sailors performed at the Washington State Capitol Thursday to the
delight of lawmakers and visitors.
The group has been singing
for about 12 years and has recorded three albums.
Following a performance in
the Capitol Rotunda, the group took a moment to pose with their 10th
District lawmakers,
Rep.
Barbara Bailey, R-Oak
Harbor, and Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen, D-Camano Island.
Bailey and Rep. Chris
Strow, R-Freeland, are preparing a House resolution to honor the Whidbey
singers.
