Shifty Sailors surround statehouse in songs of the sea
Whidbey Island group performs to delight of lawmakers

The famed Whidbey Island Shifty Sailors performed at the Washington State Capitol Thursday to the delight of lawmakers and visitors.

The group has been singing for about 12 years and has recorded three albums.

Following a performance in the Capitol Rotunda, the group took a moment to pose with their 10th District lawmakers, Rep. Barbara Bailey, R-Oak Harbor, and Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen, D-Camano Island.

Bailey and Rep. Chris Strow, R-Freeland, are preparing a House resolution to honor the Whidbey singers.
