Reps. Bailey, Strow invite
citizens to 10th District Day
at the state Capitol
Rep. Barbara Bailey
and
Rep. Chris Strow today extended an invitation for citizens of the 10th
Legislative District to attend a special tour of the Washington State
Capitol campus in Olympia on Wednesday, March 1.
Visitors attending "10th District Day" at the Capitol will be treated to
a tour of the Legislative Building and watch the Legislature in action
as it debates bills in session. There will also be an opportunity to
tour the governor’s mansion and to visit with Reps. Bailey and Strow.
"This is a very special day for our 10th District citizens to come to
Olympia and experience our state Capitol. We are fortunate to have one
of the most beautiful Capitol campuses in the nation. From the numerous
veterans memorials to the fourth tallest masonry dome in the world, the
state Capitol is an enjoyable and impressive place to visit," said
Bailey, R-Oak Harbor. "It’s also an opportunity for them to see their
elected lawmakers at work debating issues in the Legislature."
"It’s always an honor to host the people we represent while we are in
session and I know we’ll have a full and interesting day," said Strow,
R-Freeland.
Visitors will meet at the state seal inside the Capitol Rotunda at 9:45
a.m., March 1. Tours of the House and Senate will immediately follow.
Those attending are asked to bring a sack lunch and to RSVP in advance.
To make those reservations, contact either Rep. Bailey’s office at (360)
786-7914 or Rep. Strow’s office at (360) 786-7884.
