Rep. Bailey sponsors Oak Harbor High School sophomore,
Jake Ford, as Capitol page

Jake Ford, a sophomore at Oak Harbor High School, recently served as a page in the House of Representatives. He was sponsored by Rep. Barbara Bailey, R-Oak Harbor.

Paging presents students with a unique educational opportunity to participate in the legislative process. Their duties vary from ceremonial tasks, such as presenting the flags, to operational chores like distributing amendments during legislative sessions. Pages spend a week in Olympia and often stay with host families.

Jake is a member of the JRROTC program at Oak Harbor High School. He has also played junior varsity and varsity football.

Jake, 16, is the son of Patrick and Cindy Ford, Oak Harbor.
