Biography

PERSONAL:
Born May 24, 1957, in Wenatchee. Mike is a fourth-generation Wenatchee Valley resident. He and his wife of 29 years, Mary, have three children: son Abe, 22; daughter Cassandra, 19; and daughter Maureen, 17. His hobbies include playing Santa, woodworking, computers, fishing, education, acting, home brewing, travel, camping and backpacking.

EDUCATION:
1976 graduate of Eastmont High School, East Wenatchee; attended Wenatchee Valley College 1976-1977

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
External Affairs Director, Chelan County Port District, 7/08 to present
Facilities Manager, Chelan County Public Utilities District (PUD), 6/03 to 6/08
Washington State Department of Transportation Maintenance Supervisor, 12/82 to 5/03 - supervised Regional Carpenter Crew on repairs of bridges, buildings, radio sites, weigh stations and other DOT properties
Co-owner, then owner of construction company 1978-82
