state/local auto fleets to use biofuels by 2015.

members of most state-funded retirement systems to
purchase up to 24 consecutive months of service
credit for temporary disability.
- House Bill 2147
(Kristiansen) - Vocational rehabilitation services
for volunteer firefighters. Provides voc rehab
benefits to volunteer firefighters at the discretion
of the State Board of the Volunteer Firefighters'
and Reserve Officers' Relief and Pension System.

(Orcutt) - Small forest landowners. Requires Small

compensation to be offered to a landowner for an
easement as soon as possible after the landowner's
application for the Forest Riparian Easement Program
(FREP), and makes other changes to the program
designed to help forest landowners.

capital grant program to local governments and
nonprofit organizations, with ill-defined purposes
related to economic development and access to human
services, and requiring no local match for state

• House Bill 1280 (Ericks) - School district capital
funds. Permits school district capital funds (i.e.,
bonds) to be used for fees for online applications,
software and licenses, training, upgrades and other

(Curtis) - Removes the Dec. 31, 2007 deadline for

(Alexander) - Allows monies collected for an air
pollution control authority in accordance with
specified provisions may be disbursed upon warrants
drawn either by an authority or a county auditor
designated by the authority's board of directors.
