Rodne hosts Fall City student as legislative page in Olympia
Mount Si High School sophomore experiences state Legislature

Laura Woodward served as a legislative page in the Washington State House of Representatives March 16-20. She was sponsored by Rep. Jay Rodne, R-North Bend.

Laura, 16, is the daughter of Steve and Beth Woodward of Fall City. She is a sophomore at Mount Si High School.

Laura's responsibilities included delivering messages and documents to legislators and legislative assistants, committee meetings and House chambers. She also spent time in the legislative page school learning about state government.

Young men and women have come to Olympia to serve as pages for the Washington State Legislature since 1891. Pages must obtain permission from their parents and schools, and many stay with volunteer host families in Thurston County.

Rep. Rodne can be contacted at (360) 786-7852 or rodne.jay@leg.wa.gov.
