Reps. Bill Hinkle and Judy Warnick today announced they would start up their monthly district office hours again in Grant and Kittitas counties on Thursday, June 11. The first office hours will be held in Cle Elum at the Cottage Cafe from 10 a.m. to noon. The building is located at 911 East First Street. In Ellensburg, the legislators will meet citizens at the Kittitas County Courthouse auditorium, 205 West 5th Avenue, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Hinkle recently closed his district office in Cle Elum to save costs. "Closing my district office in Cle Elum wasn’t an easy decision,” said Hinkle, R-Cle Elum. “I’ve enjoyed having the office available for constituent visits and meetings over the years. But we’re going to save the state a few dollars by closing the district office for the foreseeable future. I’m still available to meet with constituents whenever they need me and I’m looking forward to the continuation of our official 13th District office hours this interim.” Warnick also looks forward to another opportunity connecting with constituents. "This year's session covered a lot of big issues and I know there's been some confusion with the final outcomes of legislation. This is a chance for folks to chat with us one-on-one and ask questions," said Warnick, R-Moses Lake. "I'm happy to have the opportunity to travel our district and meet with the great people we represent." The representatives plan to hold office hours once a month in Kittitas and Yakima counties to meet with constituents. Warnick can be reached at (509) 766-6505 during the interim. Hinkle can be reached at (360) 786-7808 or toll-free (800) 562-6000. Office hours in Yakima County will be announced soon. # # #
