Ericksen to hold town hall
meeting in Ferndale Saturday
42nd District lawmaker wants to hear citizens'
views on state budget, economy
Rep.
Doug Ericksen will be holding a town hall meeting in
Ferndale Saturday, March 28, at 10:30 a.m. The event will be held at the Ferndale
Senior Center located at 1998 Cherry Street.
"The town hall meeting is a vital link between the
Legislature and what is actually happening in Whatcom County. The event
will combine a report from Olympia about the important issues of the
day, and will allow for questions, ideas and solutions from those in
attendance," said
Ericksen, R-Ferndale. "We will discuss the budget, health care,
transportation, and other issues of interest. I hope people of all
political viewpoints will attend and share their views and solutions."
Majority Democrats are scheduled to make public the plans
they have been working on for the budget this week. Ericksen
said he is committed to balancing the budget without raising taxes.
"We still have time to have an impact on the current legislative
session,"
said
Ericksen.
Specific suggestions for topics at the town
hall can be e-mailed to Ericksen’s office this week at
ericksen.doug@leg.wa.gov.

to Ericksen, they can also contact him at (360)
