Statement from House Republican Leader Richard DeBolt on the passing of Rep. Mary Skinner

"We were truly saddened to hear the news that we lost our friend Mary Skinner after her courageous bout with cancer. Mary touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and we were blessed to have her as a colleague and a friend during her time in the House of Representatives.

"Mary's life was the embodiment of compassion and integrity. She used her time in the Legislature to fulfill her life's work as a committed public servant and a champion of the less fortunate. She will be remembered for her kindness and the manner in which she dedicated herself as an instrument of God's love and Grace.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mary's family. Preceded in death by her husband Hal, we are comforted by the thought of them reunited. We will miss Mary tremendously and remember her with enduring fondness."
