Legislators invite
questions, offer updates at
five district town halls, March 14 and 21
Sen. Jerome Delvin,
Rep.
Larry Haler and
Rep. Brad Klippert
will discuss what’s happening in the Legislature and invite input from
citizens at a series of town hall meetings in the Tri-Cities area, March
14 and 21.
“People are worried about the economy,” Delvin said. “They want to know
if the state’s eight billion-dollar deficit will result in increased
taxes or if it will mean more job losses. We’ll have information and
ideas on how to navigate this downturn.”
“I’m hoping to have good news for parents,” Haler said. “It looks good
for passage of House Bill 1385, my bill to clarify the law making it
illegal for any school employee to have sexual contact with any student
in a Washington public school – up to age 20.”
“In Olympia, I’m focused on solutions,” Klippert said. “That includes
balancing the state budget without raising taxes, reducing unnecessary
regulations, and helping to boost business and get people working
again.”
