AFFORDABLE HOUSING - "FOUR FOR AFFORDABILITY"
  • House Bill 1860 - Provides a tax exemption for property that has declined in value due to shoreline or growth management regulation
  • House Bill 1861 - Eliminates impact fees in areas where housing is not affordable for first-time buyers
  • House Bill 1862 - Allows single-family residential development outside urban growth areas in areas where housing is not affordable for first-time buyers
  • House Bill 1863 - Eliminates the state sales tax on construction labor and services in counties where housing is not affordable for first-time buyers

  • House Bill 1490 - Reforming the way Medicaid services are delivered
  • House Bill 1539 - Provides a small group plan which would result in lower health care costs for small employers and employees
  • House Bill 1638 - Allows small employers to deduct their health care costs from B&O tax
  • House Bill 2199 - Health Opportunity Act - an omnibus bill that would drive down costs

JOBS & ECONOMY

  • House Bill 1330 - Requires small business impact statements - adds the number of jobs created or lost as a result of a proposed rule to the contents of a Small Business Economic Impact Statement
  • House Bill 1516 - Implements a new-business B&O tax exemption

TAX RELIEF

  • House Bill 1308 - Allows a real estate excise tax exemption for military relocation orders
  • House Bill 1757 - Gives a sales/use tax exemption for farm machinery and equipment
  • House Bill 2272 - Provides a $400 property tax rebate, reinstates I-747, and allows value averaging

  • House Bill 1658 - Mandates up to 5 weeks paid family leave (Senate bill remains alive)
  • House Bill 1828 - Requires a state policy of neutrality towards unionization for persons using aerospace-related tax incentives
  • House Bill 2094 - Implements "Pay or Play" government-run health care

GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE

  • House Bill 1886 - Creates a single payer, government-run universal health care system
  • House Bill 2098 - Governor's "delay health care solutions" proposal
  • House Joint Memorial 4005 - Joint Memorial to Congress petitioning for a Universal Health Care System run by the ever-so-efficient government

TAX INCREASES

  • House Bill 1369 - Authorizes 6-year levy lid lifts for all taxing districts and weakens I-747
  • House Bill 1858 - Allows counties and cities to impose a $20 car tab fee without a vote of the people
