Welcome to my Web page!
Here you
will find information on the 25th District and issues impacting our
communities. Additionally, it gives you easy access to my contact
information, news releases, video updates, and much more. I hope you
find the information useful.
The 2009 legislative session began
on January 12 and is scheduled to run 105 days. While I am working with
my fellow state lawmakers on many different issues, I am focused on:
- creating and preserving jobs;
- strengthening our public
schools;
- keeping transportation promises and reducing traffic
congestion;
- providing access to affordable health care; and
- ensuring responsible and accountable state government.
Just as
families are being forced to stretch their dollars, so too is the state.
That is why it is extremely important that we get back to the basics and
invest heavily in education and transportation. Going forward, I will
fight to ensure that the Legislature makes only promises it can keep –
and keeps the promises that it makes.
It is an honor to
represent my district’s views in the legislative process. I welcome your
letters, calls and visits. We may not always agree, but you will always
find an open door and an open mind. Please contact me if you need help
in dealing with state government or simply want to share your views. I
always look forward to hearing from the people I am so fortunate to
represent.
