Dear friends,
With the 2010 legislative session
approaching, I am working hard on issues that impact our
communities -- including preserving and creating jobs,
access to affordable health care and assisting veterans.
As I formulate solutions, your input is critical. One
lesson I have learned as a state lawmaker is the best
ideas come from people outside Olympia.
Since the last legislative session, I have been
gathering ideas from meetings with constituents,
attending community events, exchanging e-mails, and
simply talking with folks at the supermarket. This
month, I would like to expand my outreach efforts and
offer you opportunities to share your views on the
issues you care about most.
First, I
encourage you to fill out this
short,
online survey
by Nov. 18. It won't take long and is a
great way for you to connect with me from the comfort of
your own home. Second, I will be holding
six "coffee talks" throughout our communities
Nov. 23 and 24. Some of the best
concepts I have carried forward in the Legislature
originated at these informal
gatherings. Simply stop by, have a
cup of coffee and share your thoughts. Details of the events are
below.
